Jan is the dry season thought Uganda. Jan is a hot month where temperatures are high in the both south and north. This is the best month time to visit gorillas and other national parks especially Kidepo in Uganda. In this month rains are less in Bwindi Impenetrable national park which is makes trekking mountain gorillas easy.
Feb is also a dry month in Uganda so it’s a good time to visit all national park. Kidepo valley national park and the entire north is relatively hot, dusty which makes wild life viewing memorable.
March is the start of first rainy seasons of the year in south while still dry in northern Uganda. This is not the best time for trekking gorillas because there will be some rains and wild life viewing is difficult.
April marks the start of rains and wet months in Uganda. Some roads may be impassable due to the heavy rains. Some lodges close due to over flooding. Its low season for tourists which means you can get discounted rates for gorilla trekking and guest lodges.
May is another rainy season across Uganda but it’s not as wet as April. It’s a low season because you can find low discount on lodging and gorilla trekking.
June is one of the driest months across the year in southern parts of Uganda while its rainy season in the northern parts of Uganda. It’s the best months for wild life viewing in the parks in the south. This is the best month for gorilla trekking because it starts the peak season for tourists in Uganda. You will need to book in advance for guest lodges and gorilla permits.
The low rains in July makes it the best month for safaris and gorilla trekking in southern Uganda. In the parks such as Queen Elizabeth national park. This is the greatest month for gorilla trekking as the mostly dry weather means that the paths are easier to hike. It’s one of the most popular months for Uganda travel. You will need to book a head for lodging and gorilla trekking permits.
In September, the second rainy season of the year begins in south Uganda while the rainy season continues in northern Uganda. It’s an ideal month to visit national park or gorilla trekking.
