Today you will be picked up by your professional safari guide from Safari Vacations-Africa and transfer to your hotel for relaxation as you prepare for a once in a lifetime adventure through the pearl of Africa
Today, we shall transfer to the Sipi falls region east of Kampala where you expect to take part in adventure and cultural activities around the beautiful Sipi falls regions that offers more than what you expected. Expect a stopover in Jinja for lunch and continue as you learn a lot about the beautiful country and its people.
After a delicious breakfast, you will take on a beautiful hike through the beautiful sipi falls that offer amazingly beautiful views and photo sessions. The hike takes 2 – 4 hours and later you will take part in the local coffee preparations with a small family as you learn how locally coffee is brewed in the region. You will then have a lunch break and later drive to Jinja which is regarded as the Adventure capital of East Africa.
And yes, the spirit of adventure lives in those who dare to do the most adventurous activities on the planet. Today you will take part in a full day rafting experience that takes you through a series of 5 rapids on the world’s longest river. The rafting experience is done by experienced and secure personnel that ensure the safety of their guests at all time and for that reason, I believe it will be a once in a lifetime experience for you
After a delicious breakfast, we shall drive to Uganda’s largest savanna national park which is located north west of the country and is divided into two parts by the River Nile. En-route you expect to visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary which is home to the white Rhinos, a non-profit organization that wants to breed and re-introduce the beautiful animals into the wild. You expect to do an hour or two guided walking safari to view the rhinos and later continue to the Murchison falls park
We shall wake up on an early call to the jungle as we look out for the active wildlife such as lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals and much more day long active mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and much more. To make the best out of our safari experience, we expect to have a bush breakfast with some pretty wildlife around us as we wash off the sleep left after an early start. You expect to do an afternoon waterfall/sun downer boat trip on the Victoria Nile that offers a wide range of sightings such as hippos, crocodiles, water buffaloes, water bucks, birds and much more wildlife relaxing on the shores from the intense heat. You will also enjoy a romantic sun downer cruise as you finish off the day.
Today we shall take on a scenic drive to Fort Portal through the typical African villages along the Lake Albert escarpments that lies on the boarders of Uganda and Congo where by, you can have a chance to see the blue mountains if the weather is clear enough. Expect to have lunch en-route while enjoying the amazing views along the Rwenzori Mountains that are regarded to be 70km long and 30km wide making it the largest mountain range in Africa. We expect to reach early enough and take on a hike around the beautiful crater lakes before checking into our hotel
Today you will set eyes on with the chimpanzees in their wild natural habitat in the Kibale forest. The trek is medium easy and takes 2-4 hours depending on the movement of the Chimpanzees. You will also have a chance to spot other monkeys and forest wildlife depending on the luck of the day. Later in the afternoon, you will decide on either doing a swamp walk that offers sights of a few monkeys, birds and much more or do a community walk that will enrich you with a lot about the life of the people living around area by taking part in a few highlights such as local food preparations, local beer brewing and tasting, visiting a herbs/ medicine man and taking part in local basket weaving.
Today we shall drive south to the Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla forest that is home to half of the world’s mountain gorilla population as well as much more wildlife. Depending on the time, you expect to do a short game drive in Ishasha which is south of Queen Elizabeth and famous for the tree climbing lions and much more pretty wildlife around the savanna plains
The long awaited day is here as you will hit the jungle and penetrate the impenetrable forest and meet the gentle mountain gorillas in their beautiful home. You expect to move with packed lunch boxes from the lodge because the trekking is unpredictable; it could be long or short depending on the movement of the gorillas. As you meet the gorillas, you will spend an hour with the gentle giants and then leave them in peace as you found them. We shall then drive to Lake Mutanda or Kisoro area which is also really scenic and beautiful for relaxation and take a look at the memorable time with the mountain Gorillas.
Today will be an early start as we drive an hour to the Mgahinga national park that is home to the dormant volcanoes which inhabit the unique gorillas, golden monkeys and batwa people who are believed to have been the original inhabitants of the central east African region before the migration of the Bantu people from West Africa. You expect to do a 4 hour trek to the villages and experience the best of the culture the short strong once hunters and fruit gatherers. After the hike, we shall have lunch and drive to Lake Bunyonyi
After a relaxed morning with a boat trip on the beautiful lake, we shall take a smooth drive to Lake Mburo national park that is regarded as one of the unique savanna parks due to its impressive and unique wildlife such as Zebras, Impalas, Elands, Topis, Giraffes, Bufallos, Leopards and much more. We expect to reach early and do an evening walking safari where you will get a chance to view wildlife up-close
Today you will participate in a cultural tour that will give you highlights about the culture of the bahima. Expect to participate in milking and a few more daily activities done by the people on a daily basis for their survival. We shall then have breakfast and drive back to Kampala with happy faces, smiles, minds full of excitement and bag full of memories. We shall have a stopover at the equator for lunch and souvenir shopping. Expect to reach early and check in your hotel for a relaxed evening
